Leuchars Community Council Supports Local Initiatives

Grants and Community Projects in Focus

Leuchars Community Council is delighted to announce its continued support for local projects and initiatives that bring our community closer together and enhance our shared spaces.

Grants for Vibrant Community Activities

Recently, we have provided four grants to support a variety of activities across Leuchars:

·      Fun Day in August: A day filled with fun and entertainment for all ages, designed to strengthen community bonds and celebrate the spirit of Leuchars. The Fun Day is being organised by Leuchars Station.

·      BBQ at St. Athernase Church: Supporting a BBQ event at one of the community’s most cherished landmarks, bringing neighbours together for good food and camaraderie.

·      Lunch Box Initiative at the Local Primary School: A project to order a lunch box trolley.

·      Bright Horizons Nursery a grant for a bench in their grounds.

Preserving Our Heritage

In addition to supporting community events, Leuchars Community Council has funded the professional cleaning of the village's iconic stone signs. These signs are an important part of our heritage and serve as welcoming markers for residents and visitors alike. Their refreshed appearance reflects our pride in the village and commitment to preserving its charm.

Looking Ahead

Leuchars Community Council remains dedicated to fostering community spirit and improving the quality of life for everyone in the area. We encourage residents to share ideas for future projects and events that help celebrate and support our vibrant community.
